NAI'A Liveaboard

For many years Nai'a has been the flagship Fiji liveaboard in the South Pacific. Its professional crew is famous as the friendliest and most competent in the business.

Nai'a has both double and twin stateroom en-suite cabins for 18 guests and room for 14 crew. All are very large, timber-lined, bright, airy, and clean. The liveaboard is a 36 metre long deluxe steel hull motor yacht which goes under sail where possible, cruising around the islands of Fiji over clear blue water; an unforgettable experience in itself.

Eat – dive – eat – dive – eat – dive – repeat. Plus a nap or two! A ten days aboard the luxury liveaboard dive boat NAI’A is the simplest and most fulfilling holiday a diver could hope for. Once you’ve set up your gear the first time, our crew look after it until it is time to pack it away again. Each morning you wake to a new divesite that is as easily accessed as falling off a log. You can dive as long as you’d like and get whisked back to the boat as soon as you are done, usually just in time for another meal.

Skiff diving is the superior and safest method, essential in the Western Pacific where depths are usually too deep to anchor a large ship near the dive sites. With Nai'a's two 6.8m rigid inflatables, you are dropped right on top of the site and, crucially, picked up wherever you surface, eliminating the stress and exertion of swimming back to a starting point. The skiffs' low freeboard and specialised ladders make entry and exit easy for all divers. This freedom allows for extended dive times, better photographic opportunities, and greater maneuverability. The system also caters to all divers, as those who surface early can be quickly returned to the comfort of the liveaboard while others continue their dive.

After each dive you can rinse your camera equipment in the large fresh water tanks, then clean and dry it in the camera room where compressed air is available. After you're done, you can soak up some rays on the sun deck or relax in the large air-conditioned saloon, where most meals are taken. Nai'a provides complimentary dinner wine during evening meals.

You will need to depart the US on Oct. 26 to arrive in Fiji on Oct. 28.

If you are only joining the Nai'a Liveaboard, you will need to depart on Nov. 1 to arrive in Fiji on Nov. 3.

Arrival Airport: Nadi, Fiji (NAN)

Direct flights depart Vancouver, BC (YVR) and LAX, arriving in Fiji early morning.

Departure Flight: Nov. 13.

Depending on your departure flight, you may want to arrange for a day-room on Nov. 13.

Nitrox Certification Required (Nitrox is included in trip package)

Advanced Diving Certification is Required. (Minimum 50 logged dives)

Diving in Fiji can be challenging due to strong currents and deep drop-offs. Maintaining good neutral buoyancy is a must. If you have not been diving in the last 12 months prior to the trip, you will be required to take a Scuba Refresher course prior to the trip. You will enjoy the diving more, take better pictures and, of course, avoid damaging Fiji’s precious coral reefs.

Our Ocean View Rooms are beautifully finished in sustainable hard-woods, featuring one queen size bed and two single beds, deck chairs, large ceiling fans, air conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, and balcony with Volivoli’s famous 180 degree ocean views!

DELUXE OCEAN VIEW ROOM: 2 Queen beds, 60m²

With two queen-sized beds, a large double hand basin ensuite bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities and a large area to store your dive gear, this room is the most spacious and affordable option for your vacation.

PREMIUM OCEAN VIEW VILLA: 1 Queen Bed Only. 60m²

Our modern take on a traditional Fijian-style home, featuring a plush queen-sized bed, an ensuite bathroom, a private lounge and balcony.

Step out onto your large balcony, with coffee in hand, surrounded by lush gardens with bird of paradise flowering and the unmistakable mark of a tropical vacation, the smell of wild frangipani and hibiscus floating through the air.

Our Premium Ocean View Villas are perfect for couples. 

Volivoli Resort is built on a hillside boasting panaromic ocean views. The dive center, Ra Bar, and camera room is at ocean level and the dining room, reception and guest rooms are all located up the hill. There are many hills and stairways to traverse. There is no elevator to the second level guest rooms.

Volivoli Beach Resort: Add-on

You will need to depart US on Oct. 26 to arrive in Fiji on Oct. 28. Fiji Airways flies direct from both Vancouver, BC (YVR) and LAX. Flights arrive early morning.

We will be met at the airport by the team from Volivoli Beach Resort and transported by air-conditioned van 2-1/2 hours to the resort.

5 days of diving at Volivoli Beach Resort:

2 days of 2 tank boat dives & 3 days of 3 tank boat dives

Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner daily

Nai'a Liveaboard Only.

Arrive Fiji. You will need to depart on Nov. 1 to arrive in Fiji on Nov. 3. After clearing customs and collecting your luggage, you will be met at arrivals by a Nai'a representative and transferred to the boat.

For those transferring from Volivoli Resort. You will have breakfast at the resort and then transferred to board the Nai'a.

EAT-DIVE-EAT-DIVE-EAT-DIVE-SLEEP Repeat.

On the day the charter ends, continental breakfast will be available before we bid you farewell at 8am.

Air-conditioned vehicles will transfer you to your hotel in Nadi or to the airport.

• If your flight home departs in the evening, we recommend you book a day room where you can store your luggage while you tour for the day and relax and shower before the flight.
