Lembeh Strait, situated near Lembeh Island in North Sulawesi, stands among the world’s renowned diving destinations and is an absolute must for those exploring Indonesia. It has evolved into a prime spot for underwater photographers due to the wealth of unique critters dwelling here. Divers flock to Lembeh in search of rare creatures like

• Cephalopods: Blue-ringed octopus, mimic octopus, wunderpus, flamboyant cuttlefish

• Crustaceans: Harlequin shrimp, boxer crabs, mantis shrimp

• Nudibranchs: Dozens of colorful species

• Frogfish: Painted, hairy, giant

• Seahorses: Pygmy seahorses, common seahorses, thorny seahorses

• Other: Rhinopias, ghost pipefish, stargazers, snake eels

To enhance and optimise your diving experience, we maintain a dedicated dive ratio of 2 divers to 1 guide (2:1), ensuring personalised guidance and the best possible encounters with the marine life.

It isn’t all muck diving, if weather permits it’s possible to dive the blue water side for an additional charge.

Depart from either Vancouver, BC (YVR) or SeaTac (SEA) to Jakarta (CGK) is best route.

~Depart on May 27 (depends on airline and departure time) to arrive in Jakarta on May 29 at the latest.

~The flight to Manado on Garuda Airlines departs at 2:00 AM on May 30. Arrives in Manado at 6:25 AM (subject to change).

June 6: Depart Manado to Jakarta on Garuda Airlines arriving back in Jakarta at 8:30 PM

June 6 or 7: Depart for home. If you plan on departing home on June 6 you will need to make sure you have at least 3 hours, so no earlier than 11:30 PM. Or overnight and depart on June 7.

If you’re traveling to Lembeh from the Halmahera Trip, we will catch the Wing Air flight from Ternate to Manado on May 30.
